Day Eight - Lone Pine, California

Today was a day of extremes: from the depths of Death Valley to the refreshingly cool pool of Mt. Whitney Motel.

Death Valley - 150+ miles through desert	Seemed like 150 degrees - really only 120.	After climbing 5000 feet in the heat.
Most expensive gas so far, Furnace Creek	9 & 10% grades, up and down 5000 ft in 20 miles	Admiring the view.
