ORANGE KITTY
ORANGE KITTY was an old stray Manx with the cutest stubby tail. His back legs made him look like he had pantaloons on. He started hanging around in about 1996, shortly after we moved to Kansas. Percy was very welcoming and even touched noses with him one day in the yard.
After he moved in, we discovered that he was deaf, but as his overall health improved and he got fed up a little, he began to be able to hear again, but he never could figure out where the sound was coming from.
In 1999, he developed squamous cell carcinoma and we thought we had it all removed, but he died after a heartbreaking period when he could barely eat or breathe. RIP Orange Kitty.
